Australian Sailing - Club of the Year National Finalist 2024

Perth Dinghy Sailing Club (PDSC) is one of Western Australia’s premier sailing clubs, located on the banks of the Swan River in Crawley. Established in 1903, the club has a rich history of competitive dinghy sailing and is known for fostering both grassroots and elite sailors. PDSC offers a range of sailing classes, from junior training programs to high-performance skiff racing, including the iconic 14ft skiffs. With a strong community atmosphere, regular racing events, and a stunning riverside location, PDSC is a hub for passionate sailors of all ages and skill levels.

PDSC is one of the only yacht clubs in Perth that is operated entirely by volunteers. Every aspect of the club from the start crew, safety boat drivers, coaches, office staff, those running the canteen and the bar, do so on a voluntary basis.

Classes sailed include: International 14, Javelin, WASZP, Cherub, Sabre, Signet, Heron, Jay-Dee, Mudlark

Sailing is usually conducted on Saturday afternoons from mid-October to mid-April. Anyone interested in sailing or supporting us by volunteering, please contact us for more information. Or just visit us on a Saturday and make yourself known to any of our friendly members.
