Adhere to PDSC Safety Requirements as per Sailing Instructions

All sailors are reminded to adhere to our Safety Requirements.

  • Please sign on via the Sign On Sheets
  • Do not change the boat registration details on the sign-on sheets in any way, if information for your boat is listed incorrect, please advise the Registrar in the Office, who can then officially update the recorded information in our systems.
  • If you are changing your crew  for the day - please complete a change of crew form
  • If you are not a member of the club i.e a visiting sailor or you have a non member as a substitute crew - please ensure they have completed a visiting sailing form, available from the office.


As per the clubs sailing instructions and most class rules it is a safety requirement

  • All boats shall have fitted at the bow a towing fairlead, capable of withstanding loads normally generated under tow, through which a towline may be passed to a strong point aft.
  • All boats shall have placed on the hull externally, at or near the transom, in legible letters and figures of: -
  1. The name of boat - not less than 50 mm height and not less than 8mm thickness.
  2. The registered sail number – not less than 50 mm height and not less than 8mm thickness
  3. The club name i.e. PDSC - not less than 2O mm height and not less than 4mm thickness.
